The 43UP75006LF is probably the best 4K TV for gaming that you can buy for your gaming needs. It has an excellent picture production quality and it cost less than £480 on the market. What makes this TV as our best choice is its features. For the lowest price, you can get an IPS 4K Smart TV with a wonderful input lag of just 12 ms and a response time of 14 ms. It only has a 60 Hz refresh rate allowing you to play your video games in 60 frames per second if supported. You will definitely enjoy playing video games on this TV.

For that immersive video gaming experience, we highly recommend pairing this TV with a sound bar. Check out our review of Sonos sound bars.

Pros

  • Picture quality is stunningly Gorgeus
  • Performance is great for the price
  • 12 ms input lag

Cons

  • Shadow around the border

HISENSE 65A7100FTUK 65-inch 4K UHD HDR Smart TV with Freeview play, and Alexa Built-in (2020 series), Black
  • 4K Resolution- With 4x more pixels than traditional Full HD, Hisense’s 4K Ultra HD resolution is the benchmark for stunningly realistic picture quality and pin-sharp clarity.
  • DTS Studio Sound- An immersive sound experience. Volume Levelling cleverly smooths transitions between inputs and when changing channels.
  • HDR Technology- HDR dramatically enhances detail by maximising contrast and colour accuracy for more true-to-life colours and amazing levels of clarity.
  • VIDAA U Smart TV - access Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Freeview Play and Rakuten with direct access keys on remote.
  • Freeview Play - Catch up on the last 7 days via BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5 and UKTV Play.

The Hisense VIDAA H43N5700 4K Smart TV is not really a great choice for gaming but more of a decent one. We still included this in our list despite having an awful input lag of 50 ms because of its price. For a 4K Smart TV that offers a 60 Hz refresh rate and a VA IPS Type display panel, you can buy this TV for almost just £400. Although, if you can stretch your budget a little bit more, we highly recommend getting the LG 43UJ630V instead of this TV if one of your main purpose is gaming.

Pros

  • Above satisfactiory image quality
  • IPS-VA Panel
  • Affordable for 4K TV

Cons

  • Poor performance, 50 ms input lag
  • VA type of IPS
  • Poor audio quality

Final Thoughts…

When looking for an affordable 4K Smart TV that can provide a decent performance for gaming, you should always look at the TV’s specs and not be a brand lover. Consumers must understand that they need to value more for their money. The best example of that is going cheap or really limiting your budget for a TV. I mean, for just a few additional fee, you can get a TV that really provides more and offers great value for your money further.

Overall, the most important thing when looking for a gaming TV is the TV’s actual input lag, the lower the better and that goes the same for the response time. Another one is the refresh rate, the higher the better. Lastly, always make sure to buy a TV with at least an IPS display panel for that 16.8 million colour rich display.
