Display Panel

The Hisense 43A6GTUK is an entry-level TV of Hisense from their 2021 TV lineup. As a TV, it basically has all the basic features that you will want from a 4K Ultra HD TV. Such as HDR support, 4K Upscaling, Smart TV, and all that goodness that you can get from a typical 4K Smart TV.

In terms of picture quality, the Hisense 43A6GTUK produces excellent image quality. It offers a good depth range of black and brightness. That’s because Hisense equipped this TV with an IPS type of display panel that can produce 16.7 million colour shades. Resulting in a magnificent colour reproduction, and pairing that up along with the support of high dynamic range, the picture reproduction is stunningly amazing. It feels like you bought a far more expensive TV.

The viewing angle is also worth mentioning, without any colour saturation loss of up to 178 degrees. Like most 4K TVs, it also has a 4K upscaling technology. Making all non-4K video content to 4K quality so you can enjoy and immerse yourself in watching movies or short clips. The details and sharpness are by far above satisfactory.

In terms of gaming, it’s not a kind of TV that you’ll probably buy solely for gaming. The input lag comes in at about 31ms and that’s probably one of the worst response time we’ve seen on a TV, but it’s respectable. Given that it has a 60Hz refresh rate which is better than a 50Hz type one.

Smart TV System

This TV uses Hisense very own operating system called VIDAA U. It’s a user interface for smart TVs by Hisense. The interface is highly customizable and can be easily configured to the user’s preference by avoiding unnecessary complexity. An intuitively designed remote control with 23 buttons adds to the comfortable user experience even further.

Audio

The Hisense 43 inch tv is equipped with 2CH speakers that consume 7W each. Thanks it’s built-in dbx-tv’s Total Technology audio system, the audio created is probably the best sound possible from the speakers of this TV. Especially for the price.

Hisense 4k smart tv

It has a decent dynamic bass boost, good range of level volume and has a good a wide sound field. So basically, the audio performance is decent for the price. It’s clear without sounding shrill, but if you want this thing for movies then you’re better off having a soundbar like the Bose Solo 5. Other than that, overall the audio is quite okay for watching the news or other TV content though.

Our Verdict

If you want an affordable TV that offers 4K, IPS Display, and HDR in one TV then this certainly is one of those TV that you must consider. However, over performance shows that this TV is not for contents or people that demands perfection from a TV. Yes, it’s really good when it comes to HD and standard dynamic range but this TV shows its limitation and weaknesses when you feed it with 4K and HDR contents.

For the money, it does give you one of the best value TV with all those good things that you can have from buying an expensive 4K TV for less. That being said, the N5700 does have its merits. The use of IPS panel allows it to produce stunning and amazing picture quality without any saturation of up to 178 degrees. The uniformity of the brightness and lighting is also admirable.

Overall, we think that this Hisense 43 inch tv is best suited for those who spend most of their TV time watching HD and standard dynamic range contents and wants a taste of the future although there are better options out there for those who wish real value for a TV.
